F*ck 'em. You come first.
Fuck 'em. You come first. Yes. You read that correctly. And I'll tell you why. There is absolutely no person you need to focus on first except for you. Yes, even if you're a mom. Even if you're married. Even if you're running a business. You come first. Does that seem selfish? So, what. There's a simple reasoning behind this.
So, read on.
Let's say you spend the next couple of days, weeks and months, focused on every one else. You're entire life revolves around someone other than you. In fact, you're number one goal, each and every day is making sure that everyone else is happy and taken care of. In spite of what you're feeling or what your desires are, you never give yourself time to do the things that make you happy. You choose to wait for the 'right time' to focus on you, because you believe your role in your life is to be a caretaker.
So far, it doesn't sound as if you're reading anything new or profound. Every woman puts their family first. It's what we do, right?
Well, what do you think is going to happen eventually?
I'll tell you. In the long run, you'll not only end up resentful, but you'll end up bored, and lacking faith in everyone and everything. Not to mention, you'll be prone to depression.
That's a rather lonely place to be, right? Now, what if focusing on yourself was a daily requirement. Could you see yourself taking a few minutes every morning, in a quiet space to create positive energy that would help build self-esteem and self-worth? I know, that sounds f*cking easy! In fact, it's too easy.
You're probably asking how? After all, it were really easy, everyone would be doing it. The thing is, lots of people do this every day. Who? For example, Oprah, Ellen, Gary Vee. Famous, and financially wealthy entrepreneurs who know the value in taking time out to focus on themselves first.
Nevertheless, let's move on. If you're a mom to a young child, you're probably getting up at the crack of dawn already. Or, you've got a job and need to make that early commute to work.
Now, would you be willing to ask the universe for five minutes just for yourself. After all, you're life and well-being is worth five minutes, right?
I know, I sound crazy. You're probably asking yourself, 'What the hell could you accomplish in five minutes'? For starters, you can't save the world in five minutes, but you can begin to save yourself.
As a matter of fact, I'll give you two easy steps to follow.
You'll begin building positive energy that will last all motherf*cking day!
And, all it takes is five minutes.
Five minutes of saying F*ck 'em. I come first.
Here's what you do:
First, find a quiet space, focus all your energy on your heart chakra. Feel all the love you have for your family and friends. Focus on all that love. Remember why you love them..
Repeat the affirmations below. Feel each word. Let each affirmation sink into your heart chakra.
I radiate love and respect and in turn, I receive love and respect
I am free to make my own choices and decisions
I accept others as they are and they in turn accept me as I am
It matters little what others say. What matters is how I react and what I believe
All is well in my world and I trade love and acceptance with the world
I deserve all that is good. I release any need for misery and suffering
I release the need to prove myself to anyone as I am my own self and I love it that way
My mind is full of gratitude for my lovely and wonderful life
My life is a place of happiness and love
I am never alone. The universe supports me and is with me at every step
I am the architect of my life; I build its foundation and choose its contents.
My ability to conquer my challenges is limitless and my potential to succeed is infinite
(You can also repeat these affirmation whenever you need a boost in positive thinking.)
